Fourth sonogram- Face! 27 weeks

We got to see baby J's beautiful little face for the first time! At the last sonogram (at 18 weeks), she had her hand in front of her face the whole time so they weren't able to collect all the general tests and information they always look for in pregnancies. We came in again at 27 weeks to finish those, and I'm so glad we did! Mom came with Erik and I this time so that she could see her granddaughter for the first time. :-)

They took one profile shot and then a bunch of 3D pictures of her face, which was SUCH a blast to see. She still had her hands up near her face a lot, but we still got some decent shots. In each of the face pictures the front of her face is pushed up against my uterus so her nose and lips are smushed. We got to see her moving her mouth open and closed, opening and closing her eyes, and swatting the umbilical cord out of her face. My favorite part of the whole experience was feeling her kicks while I was watching her kick on the screen. It felt surreal!

It is so fun to see her gorgeous face! Those are some great pics! It is so amazing that they can take pics like that before they are even born.
